Insurance commercials are like porn movies.
I'm an abnormal person struggling to figure out how to do traditional things. All of the sudden I have a baby, we're buying a house, and we're trying to start a business -- and I've lived 30 years of my life as a dreamer.

Because they prey on your most basic drives-- fear of death (insurance), and sex (porn)?
Because they try to force insurance discussions in unnatural situations. For (a real) example -- a guy wakes up from a bad dream. He says "I had a bad dream. I gotta check on the kids". Then, he goes downstairs and starts talking to his wife about Colonial Penn.
It's a pathetic plot line that acts as a flimsy support to the "point".
ha ha-- that's funny. I feel like a lot of commercials are like that.
